A delicious bittersweet holiday topping

Ingredients
2 Cups Fresh Cranberries
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Honey (or Sugar)
1/3 Cup Sugar
1/4 Tsp Almond Extract
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and dry Cranberries, and add to mixing bowl
Step 2
Heat Sugar and Water on stove top on low, until sugar fully melts, remove from heat and add Almond Extract.
Step 3
Pour Sugar Water mixture over cranberries and let soak for 10-20 minutes
Step 4
Strain cranberries and place on tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkler extra sugar over top and toss gentle to fully cover cranberries. Let cool and fully dry.
