About the Recipe

a family favorite recipe

Ingredients

  • 2.5 Cups Flour

  • 3/4 Cup Salted Cold Butter, cubed

  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

  • a Drizzle of Honey (1 Tbsp or less)

  • 7-8 Tbsp Ice Water


Preparation

Step 1

Add Flour, salt and Butter to food processor and pulse a couple times.


Step 2

Drizzle Honey, and pulse again a couple times


Step 3

Add 5 Tbsp Ice Water and Pulse a few times till a loose crumbly dough begins to form. Add additional Tbsp of water only as needed. **It is ready AS SOON as it just begins to pull from the sides, it will still look slightly crumbling but will hold shape when pressed.


Step 4

Remove dough and shape into ball, cover and let cool in fridge for at least 20min


Your dough is now ready to shape and use as desired!


**if you do not have a food processor you can absolutely do this by hand or with a hand mixer! It will take a few extra minutes but still come together just as beautifully.
