Cranberry Sauce

A Holiday Staple

Ingredients

  • 1, 12oz Package Fresh Cranberries

  • 1 Cup Water

  • 1 Cup Honey (or Sugar)

  • 1/2 an Orange

  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Juice

  • 1 Tsp Almond Extract

Preparation

Step 1

Add washed Cranberries, Water and Honey to stove top pot, and bring to a simmer on low.


Step 2

Squeeze juice from half an Orange into pot, then slice remaining orange peel into 2-3 slices, and add.


Step 3

Add Almond Extract and Apple Cider Juice


Step 4

Once sauce thickens, remove from heat, and let cool.


**As cranberries simmer you can keep them whole by gently stirring, or crush them for a blended cranberry sauce by gently pressing down on them with wooden spoon while stirring.
